BayWISS doctoral candidate David Castro Lotero presents the topic "virtual reality and the Colombian armed conflict" to students and teachers of the course of study technology and communication at Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira (UTP) in Colombia. The topic follows David Castro Lotero's doctoral thesis and is linked to BayWISS's interest in knowledge transfer as his research is presented in the social context in which it was developed and the students learn to apply technology for social wellbeing – such as using virtual reality (VR) to deal with issues of the armed conflict in a peace-oriented approach.
