Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg

With more than 11,000 students, the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg (OTH Regensburg) is one of the largest universities for applied sciences in Bavaria. Great emphasis is placed on practical relevance. Eight faculties offer more than 50 Bachelor’s and Master’s degree courses in the fields of technology, economics, social sciences, health, architecture, and design – and in some cases on-the-job or dual courses. The OTH Regensburg understands digitalisation as an interdisciplinary theme, which gives rise to new questions in all fields of study and is not exclusively bound to the subject-specific approach in the field of computer science.

Research at the OTH Regensburg is oriented towards the five guiding themes of Energy and Mobility, Information and Communication, Life Sciences and Ethics, Production and Systems as well as Buildings and Infrastructure. Sensor technology and digitalisation serve as cross-cutting themes.

Cooperation with around 270 companies and a lively network in and around Regensburg guarantee practical relevance and transfer for research and teaching, the partnerships with a total of more than 200 universities abroad ensure an international focus and the efficient data centre, modern service facilities, award-winning library and over 120 laboratories (including a clean room laboratory unique in Bavaria), create the best infrastructure for research and teaching.
